Pietrapertosa

I live perched over a thousand meters above sea level.
They say I am one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
My stone houses blend with the majestic peaks of the Lucanian Dolomites, creating a high mountain landscape that tells ancient stories.
My neighborhood Arabata, with its Arab origins, has a unique architecture and fascinates anyone who walks its stairways and alleys.
My history is marked by different influences: from the Greeks to the Romans, from the Lombards to the Normans. Each civilization has left an indelible mark, visible in the winding streets, in the churches and in the remains of my Norman-Swabian castle, which dominates the landscape offering breathtaking views.
But it is in my embrace with the sky that lies one of the most exciting experiences: the Flight of the Angel.
Imagine flying, suspended from a steel cable, over valleys and rocky peaks, just like Icarus did in his daring attempt to touch the sun.
Here, between me and the nearby Castelmezzano, you can experience a unique sensation, with the wind that touches your face.
You can admire from above the wild beauty of the nature below.
I invite you to walk my paths, discover my traditions and let yourself be fascinated by my timeless atmosphere.
Come visit me, live me and fly!
